The idea for the "zwinkkl" actually came completely out of nowhere. Right in the middle of an everyday conversation, someone suddenly said: "If we ever release our own beer, we'll call it zwinkkl" – a play on the classic Zwickl. The response wasn't long in coming: "Yes, let's do that!"
At our office inauguration in the Quadrill, zwinkkl could be tasted for the first time. The first tastings were really well received – and with that, it was clear: the spontaneous idea had actually turned into something. A big thank you to our master brewer Josef Penkner from Engerwitzdorf, who brewed zwinkkl for us and hit the bullseye in terms of taste!
After we went a bit overboard with the brewing volume at our housewarming party, our remaining zwinkkl is now also available to buy.
