Japanese did it again! Yet another great invention! They have created an umbrella which protects you from rain all over your body. 
Looks like this umbrella is really helpful! 10/10 for this umbrella.
Wouldn’t a giant condom do the same thing?
These have been out since the early1960’s. Not new.
How does it work in the wind though?
This just looks like a giant pain in the ass the moment you have to put it away… Grats on bad, Japan.

This is not an invention….. its just strapping a piece of plastic and making it go all the way around the umbrella, this is stupid..

You can tell by their clothes that this is a very old picture. It looks about late ’80’s.
what happens when the wind blows? wouldnt a bunch of plastic smash into your body and face? yea … im going to stay away from this HORRIBLE invention …

3 problems:
- a bitch to close
- lack of decent ventilation and poor temperature circulation.
- bottom is too low and would either drag on the ground or you’d trip
3 solutions
- a solid, hula hoop shaped base(collapsable) so you can simply lift up all at once, (also this would reduce wind problems with the plastic)
- have the screen start slightly lower and under/inner roof, this will release heat and ad oxygen, maybe even a mesh type screen, (even with tiny mesh holes you’ll stay dry)
-raise base 1/2 -1ft off the ground. oval shaped base maybe so your feet have room to move. (adjustable height from inside base?)
see…this kinda thinking will be why i’ll be rich someday. solving problems is all it takes.
IMAGINE USING ONE OF THESE ON A REALLY WINDY RAINY DAY SUFFOCATION ANYONE?
Japan’s inventions are a lot more funny exist.

Looks like it is a useful device, and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t look stupid when it’s raining cats and dogs outside.
